This Green Smoothie with Pineapple and Mango is quick and easy to prepare; and makes a tasty breakfast smoothie or an energizing afternoon snack.
Green smoothies have been around for awhile now, so I’m not sure why I’ve never tried making one until recently. Most of the time I make my Blueberry Banana Smoothie or Cranberry Orange Smoothie when I’m hungry for smoothies. I like most any kind of fruit, and I like lots of vegetables. I just wasn’t sure how I’d like a fruit and vegetable smoothie. Well, let me tell you, if all green smoothies taste this good, I’ve been missing out.
What makes this green smoothie so special?
Taste, ease of preparation, and an abundance of nutrients. At the first sip, this green smoothie tastes of sweet pineapple and mango with slight tang of fresh lime juice. Banana and Greek yogurt give body and creaminess. And the spinach, it has such a mild flavor you can’t taste it.
Like most smoothies, this one is super easy to make. Just put all the ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth. All you need is half a banana, a little Greek yogurt and milk, fresh spinach, and frozen pineapple and mango chunks. If you like your smoothies a little sweeter, you can always add a little honey. Super easy to make.
Nutritionally, this green smoothie provides a wealth of nutrients your body will love – things like potassium, Vitamin C, Vitamin A, folate, and other antioxidants. It’s a great way to start your morning with a healthy breakfast smoothie, or for an energizing afternoon snack.
