Hi Friends! I just finished up a long week of basketball with family and friends – five days with two to three games each day to either play (my kids – not me), attend, or coach. It was an exhausting and bittersweet week for me. I love spending time with friends and seeing my kids play. But my oldest son is a senior this year, and these were also the last games of his high school years. I know I’ve said this before, but our kids grow up way too fast, don’t they?
As parents we invest a lot into our children’s lives – time, money, dreams, and desires – to nurture and train them into adults. Baby girls blossom into young women. Baby boys burst into young men. It’s a sacrifice, but worth every bit of it. Which brings me to Easter, a holiday that truly speaks about sacrifice, when Jesus gave himself for each of us out of love for us. That’s true sacrifice, and what we celebrate every year at this time.
So to help in preparing for your Easter celebrations, I’ve put together a round-up of healthier, Easter morning breakfast and brunch recipes from some very talented dietitian blogging friends of mine. Any one of these would be ideal to include in your Easter menu. Here they are:
