Iced Green Tea with Mint

Ingredients

  • 3-4 bags your favorite green tea
  • 1 cup fresh mint slightly bruised and torn
  • 6 c. hot water
  • 2 c. tap water

Instructions

  • Place mint in a jelly bag (used for straining jelly) or wrap in cheesecloth and tie with a string.
  • Place prepared mint and green tea bags in a 2 quart pitcher.
  • Add water to your tea pot or sauce pan and bring to a simmer.
  • Pour 2 c. of tap water over the mint and tea bags.
  • Add the remaining 6 c. of hot water to the pitcher to make 2 quarts.
  • Steep at least 10 minutes, more if you like your tea a little stronger. Remove the tea bags and mint and discard them.
  • Let chill overnight or until cold. Serve over ice.
