- 3-4 bags your favorite green tea
- 1 cup fresh mint slightly bruised and torn
- 6 c. hot water
- 2 c. tap water
Place mint in a jelly bag (used for straining jelly) or wrap in cheesecloth and tie with a string.
Place prepared mint and green tea bags in a 2 quart pitcher.
Add water to your tea pot or sauce pan and bring to a simmer.
Pour 2 c. of tap water over the mint and tea bags.
Add the remaining 6 c. of hot water to the pitcher to make 2 quarts.
Steep at least 10 minutes, more if you like your tea a little stronger. Remove the tea bags and mint and discard them.
Let chill overnight or until cold. Serve over ice.
