It’s half way through 2013 and time to look back. Did you work on any health or fitness plans for the year? How are they going? For many of us they’ve fallen by the wayside for a variety of reasons – busyness, discouragement, or other things got in the way. But it doesn’t have to be like that.
This verse in Proverbs says to commit our plans to the Lord. And if we do that, we’ll succeed. We may not always get the result we think we want or need, but what God thinks is right for us. He knows our needs best, and while we may think weight loss is the goal, His goal for us might be very different. Maybe we didn’t lose the weight, but we were able to run a 5K, or we lowered our blood pressure.
Basically, He’s in charge of the result. Our job is to commit the plan to Him and then do it. Committing it to God somehow gives me more determination to stay the course. And that’s a good thing. How about you? Now isn’t the time to give up, but to commit those health plans to the Lord and see where it takes you!

A good reminder to commit to the Lord… in any and all areas of our lives. (Visiting today from Thought Provoking Thursday)
