Hi Everyone! Do you know what pairs well with bananas? That’s right, chocolate. I often add a few chocolate chips to banana bread or banana muffins to make things a little more interesting and add a little extra flavor; but this time I added cocoa as well and it was a hit. When you make these your kitchen will fill with the delicious smell of chocolate and bananas baked into double chocolate banana muffins.
My oldest son declared that “those smell amazing” and proceeded to down three of them in one sitting. Score one for mom. Actually, it’s more points than that because these chocolate banana muffins have some healthy additions like white whole wheat flour, rolled oats, and ground flax-seed instead of all refined white flour. They’re filling, moist, and chocolaty . . . definitely kid-friendly and great as part of a healthy afternoon snack or for breakfast.
I’m over at Not Quite Amish today sharing this recipe for Double Chocolate Banana Muffins. Head on over for some great reading and more recipes.

Sounds good Marie. I’ll have to see if I can make these using my Gluten Free ingredients. Especially if your getting “mom points”. Ha ha
