Collage of pictures of homemade food gifts

I’m not much for big crowds. During the Christmas season my favorite time to shop for gifts is later at night or during the weekdays when most people are in bed or at work. I like to take time and look for the perfect gift for each person on my list. Other times, I prefer to make a gift for that special someone.

I know homemade gifts are some of my favorites to receive. It gives me a warm feeling to know that someone took the time to use their talents to make something for me. And when I make them I can avoid the crowded stores too.

Homemade holiday gifts don’t have to be fancy. They can be as simple as a jar of homemade spiced nuts to more involved gifts like a crocheted blanket.

I’ve put together a round-up of Healthy Homemade Holiday Gift Ideas from a group of fabulous dietitians. Below you will find a great collection of holiday gift ideas to make for that someone special on your shopping list.
